Beulah, Ceredigion

Y mae enw Beulah yn y beibl - yn lle hyfryd a thoreithiog. Y mae Beulah, Ceredigion yn lle deniadol hefyd - gyda chymysgedd o dai newydd a thai o'r cyfnod cyn y Rhyfel Byd Cyntaf. Nodi'r y pentre heddiw gan dai fforddiadwy, cartrefi i nifer dda wedi ymddeol, a thai i bobl ifanc. Saif y pentref yma ar y groesffordd rhwng heolydd o Frongest i Aberteifi a Chastell Newydd ac Aberporth. Datblygodd Beulah i fod yn ganolfan masnachol i gymuned eang. Hefyd yn ganolfan gydeithasol bwysig gyda chapel, ysgol, siopau, gorsaf betrol a neuadd chwaraeon. Bydd yr ysgol yn gant oed yn 2017. Y mae yma draddodiad o gynnyrch cerddorol, llenyddol ac eisteddfodol. Amaethyddiaeth yw cefn y pentref yn economaidd. Yma y cynhelir cyfarfodydd Cyngor Cymuned Beulah, y nos olaf o bob mis, ac felly yn ganolfan llywodraeth leol etholaeth Beulah.

The name Beulah is in the Bible - a "pleasant and fruitful place". Beulah, Ceredigion is an attractive place as well - with a mix of new housing and homes built from the period before the First World War. The village today provides affordable housing, a number of homes for the retired, also housing for young people. The village is situated on a crossroads of roads from Brongest to Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn and Aberporth. Beulah developed into a business centre for a wide area. It became a social centre as well, with a chapel, stores, a fuel station, a snooker hall and a school. The school will be a hundred years old in 2017. A tradition of support for music, literature and eisteddfodau remains here. Agriculture is the economic mainstay of the village. It is here that Beulah Community Council holds its meetings on the last Monday of the Month and is therefore the centre for local government for the Beulah Ward.
